The Castor Oil Pack

This is a warm pack for relieving spasms and cramping, whether in the muscles or in the internal organs, such as the liver and digestive system. It can also be used to shift mucus congestion in any area of the body, including the lungs.

1.Soak a piece of flannelette, the size of the area to be covered, and then squeeze dry. Flatten out and place on a plastic bag/plastic sheet

2.Cover with a second piece of flannelette.

3.Spread a generous layer of castor oil over the cloth and spread over the area. Repeat with a third layer.

4.Lay this, castor oil side down, over the body, keeping the plastic in place, and secure with a bandage.

5.Place a heated pad (not electric) or a hot water bottle over this. If this is too hot, then you may cover the castor oil pack with a towel and remove this as the heat pack cools.

6.Leave in place for as long as desired, minimum one and a half hours.

7.If you wish to re-use the pack fold over in half, castor oil side facing inwards, and roll up after use to store until the next day.
